How To Enable The Built In Administrator Account In Windows Vista Using Command Line

In this article, we have given the steps to enable or disable a built-in Administrator account in Windows Vista Operating System. However, it is described to perform in Command Line in Windows Vista and this may be useful if you want to enable the built-in Administrator account to do some automation works without using UAC elevation prompt in the Operating System.



Follow the following steps to enable the built-in Administrator Account.
•    Click Start and then type cmd in the Search box. Instead, you can press Windows Key + R key to open the Run command and type cmd in it.
•    Thereafter, in the search results list, right click Command Prompt and then type Run As Administrator.
•    Click Continue, if you’re prompted by User Account Control.
•    After that, “net user administrator /active:yes” in the Command Prompt and press Enter key.
•    Then type the net user administrator and then press Enter key again.
•    Here you can replace the tag with your Passwords which you want to set to Administrator account.
•    Then type exit and press Enter.
•    Now, log off the current user account.
•    If you want to disable the account, you can type “net user administrator /active:no” instead of “net user administrator /active:yes”.
•    And all other steps are same as mentioned above.
