How To Fix Configuration Error Messages In Windows Using System Configuration Utility

If you have ever gotten configuration error messages in your Computer? No problem. We have given some troubleshooting steps to resolve the Configuration errors using System Configuration Utility. It is nothing but using “msconfig.exe” facility. It is not able to manage the programs that run when Windows starts.

This System Configuration Utility is able to automate the routine troubleshooting steps that are used by the Microsoft Customer Support Services professionals. It is used to diagnose the System Configuration Issues. If you want to use this utility in order to modify the System Configuration, you have to select Check boxes to eliminate issues that are not related to your configuration. Moreover, this process can reduce the risk of typing errors that you may make in text editor like Notepad and Word.

Before, you are going to do this, ensure you have logged on as Administrator or as a user who has the rights of an Administrator group of the System Configuration Utility.
Moreover, it is easy to reset or change the configuration settings in Windows to include preference for the following files and settings of the file.

• The System.ini file
• The Win.ini file
• The Boot.ini file
• Programs that are set to load during the startup process (these programs are specified in the Startup folder and in the registry)
• Environment settings
• International settings
We have two methods to troubleshoot the Configuration Issues using the System Configuration Utility.
Method 1:

Diagnostic and Selection startup modes
Diagnostic startup

You can use the Diagnostic Startup to enable the Windows to determine the basic device drivers and Software to load when you start Windows. If this is enabled, then the Computer will temporarily disable the Microsoft services like Networking, plug and play, Event logging and Error Reporting. At the same time, it is possible to delete all restore points for the System Restore Utility. Remember, if you want to save your Restore Points for System Restore, you should use a Microsoft Service to test a problem.
Important Note:
If you want to save your restore points for System Restore or if you must use a Microsoft Service to test a problem, you don’t need to use this method.
Okay, if you want to perform this diagnostic start up, you should follow these following steps.
1. First, click Start Menu and choose Run.
2. Then type “msconfig” and then click on OK.
3. Now, you can get a new window, in which choose General tab and click on Diagnostic Startup.
4. Then click OK.
5. After that, restart the Computer.
You can use Selective Startup Mode to try finding the problem by turning individual services and startup programs on or off, if the problem doesn’t occur.
If you choose selective startup, it will enable you to select the files and the settings that you want the Computer to load when you restart the Computer. You can have the following options to choose.

• Process System.ini File
• Process Win.ini file
• Load System Services
• Load Startup Items

No options will be selected by default in this section. The following are the actions to these options.
• If you will choose the check box, the configuration file will be processed when you will restart the Computer.
• If you uncheck the Check box, the configuration file will not be processed when you will restart the Computer.
• If you look some boxes appear dimmed, it means some items are still loading from the configuration file when you restart the Computer.
• If the Check box is not selected, you can’t select the Checkbox as it appears dimmed and the Configuration file is not present on the Computer.
• Moreover, you can’t change the Use Original BOOT.INI option button.
Important Note:
If you clear the Load System Services check box, you can disable the Microsoft services like Networking, Plug and Play, Event Logging and Error Reporting. Moreover, it is possible to delete all the restore points permanently for the System Restore Utility. At the same time, if you want to keep your Restore Points for the System Restore, don’t clear this Checkbox.

Are you ready to perform Selective Startup? Then follow the following steps.
• First, click on Start Menu, choose Run.
• Now, type “msconfig” then click OK.
• Now, you can get a new window, in which choose General tab and click on Selective Startup.
• Check or uncheck the available settings.
• Click OK and restart the Computer.
• You can repeat the steps until you find the problem.

New Micro battery, power packed for high performance

For a size of a few millimetres, the new micro-batteries are powerful enough to jump start a car battery and then quickly charge the cell phone. Researchers from the University of Illinois have developed the micro batteries which can be used to drive compact electronic devices and new applications for radio communications. The micro batteries are so good that they can even out power the super capacitors. The results were published in ‘Nature Communications’ in the April 16 issue. The micro batteries have energy and power and with the researchers tweaking the structure of the micro batteries a little bit, its use can be for wide range applications. The high performance of the micro battery is based on its 3-dimensional micro-structure. Based on the design of fast charging cathode by Professor Paul Braun’s group, researchers developed the matching anode and integrated it with the fast charging cathode at a micro-scale and made a complete battery with high performance. These batteries cou
