How to share a printer in Windows Network

Sharing Printer is one of the finest features available for Computer lovers. Therefore, you can share it with anyone available on the same network. Moreover, it is not a matter which type of printer you’re using, as long as it available on the network it can be shared with others. However, you can determine who should access the printer and who should not. The printers are directly connected to the network rather than attached to a Computer are available to anyone on the same network. These types of printers should have a network port or Wireless connections that let them connect directly to the network.

If you want to share a printer, follow the following steps.
To turn on file and printer sharing
1. First, you need to open the Advanced Sharing settings from the Start button, Control Panel.
2. In the search box, type the Network and click on Network Sharing Center.
3. Then in the left pane, click on Change Advanced sharing settings.
4. After that, click the Chevron in order to expand the current network profile.
5. If the sharing is disabled, under File and printer sharing, you can select Turn on file and printer sharing.
6. Then click Save changes.
7. If you’re prompted to enter the administrator password or confirmation, you should enter that.
Finish all the above, now you need to share the printer itself.
1. First, open the Devices and Printer by clicking the Start Button and then clicking on the Start menu, choosing Device and Printers.
2. Now, right click on the Printer that you want to share and choose Printer Properties.
3. Now, click on the Sharing tab and choose the Share this printer and check box.
Now, you have to let others access the shared printer.
To add a network printer

1. First, open the Devices and Printer by clicking the Start Button and then clicking on the Start menu, choosing Device and Printers.
2. Then click on Add a printer.
3. After that, click Add a network, wireless, or Bluetooth printer.
4. Then click the shared printer, click Next.
5. Then follow the instructions on the screen.
