How to enable or disable the Windows Messenger from the System Startup

By default, Windows Messenger will start to run whenever you log on to the Windows. We know it is a great annoyance for you. At the same time, it is easily fixable. You can disable it from running at the Start Up of the Computer. If you’re ready to disable the Windows Messenger from the Start Up, just follow the steps as follow.

•    First, it is required to open the Group Policy window. Therefore, click on the Start Menu and type “gpedit.msc” in the search box and then press the Enter Key.
•    Instead, you can press the Windows Logo and the R Keys together to open the Run Command window to type “gpedit.msc”.
•    Now, you have to locate the Settings under User Administration, Administrative Templates and then Windows Messenger.
•    After that, double click on the Settings in order to enable or disable.
•    Remember, if you don’t want the Windows Messenger at the System Startup, enable the settings.
•    If want to have the Windows Messenger at the System Startup, disable the settings.

•    At the same time, if you don’t configure the settings, the Computer will consider the settings as disable by default.
•    Even if you disable the Windows Messenger from the Startup, you can easily open it whenever you want.
•    Moreover, you can enable the feature “Don not allow Windows messenger to run”, if you don’t want the users to use it.
