Aqua Wonder launched by Intex, cheapest phone so far













This smart phone “Aqua Wonder” is launched by Intex Technologies at the lowest price of Rs 9,990.  It has a Quad core processor with 4.5 inch display supporting a resolution of 540x960 pixels.  A touch screen option with IPS panel technology.  Powered by Media Tek MT6589 processor has a capacity of 512 MB RAM.  The internal storage supports a capacity of 1.93GB (accessible by the user) and a MicroSD card with expandable memory of 32 GB.  The iOS system is Jelly Bean Android 4.1.  The best part is the camera of 8 MP with automatic focus and LED flashlight and front camera of 2 MP.  It is a dual SIM phone with 3G video chat, GPS, WI-FI and Bluetooth 4.0. 


It has a negligible battery performance of 1,800mAh which the company promises to deliver a 3.5 hours of talk time and back up to 3 days.  It is compatible with the latest apps like, Video player, FM Radio, Sound recording system, music player, Email, browser, Facebook, Google Maps and much more along with sensors such as motion, gravity, proximity and light.   A fair deal is made with the customer by including a pouch and screen guard free of cost along with the phone.

Researchers from the University of Illinois have developed the micro batteries which can be used to drive compact electronic devices and new applications for radio communications. The micro batteries are so good that they can even out power the super capacitors. The results were published in ‘Nature Communications’ in the April 16 issue. The micro batteries have energy and power and with the researchers tweaking the structure of the micro batteries a little bit, its use can be for wide range applications.

The high performance of the micro battery is based on its 3-dimensional micro-structure.
