The smallest powerful antenna of the world

The associates of Birla Institute of Technology invented the smallest antenna of the world.  It is very compact in structure and promises to have ultra-wideband (UWB) which is very useful for useful for homes and defence establishments.  It has a size of 14mm x 11mm with more than 10 : 1 bandwidth.  Their main aim was to build antenna that cost less and is in small size.  With the UWB technology the antenna can be placed on any curved surface.  There is no need of communications cable for high data rates. 

This is specifically designed for short Wireless Personal Area Networks (WPANs) for domestic and personal use.  The main objective is to free people from the tangle of cables and poles.  The antenna is cost effective because of the usage of fiber reinforced plastic for design and fabrication by wet chemical process. This marvelous invention was done by Academician Professor Srikanta Pal and research scholar Mrinmoy Chakraborty.  The antenna has a top shape with curved string around it.
